37 Cell Monolith
150x150x300-3.8/80 (37 x 37 cells)
This novel honeycomb cell structure is characterized by a coarse cell geometry (3.4×3.4 mm²) and relatively thin cell wall thickness (0.6 mm) resulting in the highest open frontal area (>72%) ratio of heat media honeycombs for Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer Applications.
This cell design is optimized for high particulate laden and non corrosive gas streams. The relatively high surface area for a large cell type block geometry of about 847 m²/m³ renders high efficiencies in RTO applications by applying significantly less heat media volume compared to 25 or 32 cell designs and similar volumes to 40×40 cell bed designs.
Combining the advantages of the highest open frontal area and increased surface area provide this structure with advantages in pressure drop and thermal performance than larger sized cell types (25 and 32 cell).
This cell geometry is available in all of current materials.
