25 Cell Monolith

The 25 cell monolith has the largest cell size suitable for Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers. The larger cell size and open area yields the lowest pressures available. At a cell size of 4.9 millimeters, this structure greatly reduces the risk of plugging the media bed with particulate over other forms of structured packings. Dry particles will completely pass through the monolith unlike random packing. Also the thicker wall of the 25 cell monolith increases the life of the block in applications where alkali attack can corrode ceramics. At present this cell geometry is available in all materials.
